In broad terms, political corruption is the misuse of public office for private gain. Isn’t that what Jane Campbell is all about? Unchecked corruption is our City's major woe as long as Jane Campbell is around. Thanks for this corrupt mayor; we have the dubious distinction of being classified as the poorest city in America, and soon the most corrupt along with the 'banana' republics of this world. According to several studies, corruption is the single most critical factor inhibiting the progress of a country or city. Jane Campbell’s corruption is primarily responsible for tens of thousands of Clevenderas being out of jobs and below the poverty line, even though if you watch her lying lips moving, significant amounts of public money have been spent on city development. Where did the public money go mayor corrupt?
In four years of her corrupt regime we have made no progress to effectively control corruption, it is because her friends and their cohorts in the bureaucracy benefits mightily of Jane Campbell’s sleaze. They are the beneficiaries of Jane’s fraudulent system and pay only lip service to integrity in public life. Isn’t it a matter of disgrace that the mayor of a major US city gets caught sending emails to her minions trying to steer a public contract to one of her contributors?
Undoubtedly, there are still a great many honest and dedicated Clevelanders who serve our city, but their number is declining. I had the privilege of working with quite a few of them in the last four years, and they are first class citizens that Cleveland should be proud of.
It is indeed difficult for an honest city employee to survive under Campbell’s fraudulent regime, with constant threats of vindictive transfers, adverse performance reviews. Add to that, the number of her cronies she hired so they can all benefit from the public largesse.
Campbell’s overwhelming scale of corruption can be observed from the case of her attempt to steer $40 million airport contract, and the ongoing trials and investigations at Water.
We cannot under any circumstances believe that she is the nice clean politician she wants you to believe. What we got here folks, is a case of the worst corrupt politician to walk the streets of our city, we got Jane Campbell. Its time we take her to task, Cleveland cannot afford four more years of Jane Campbell’s sleaze.

I am glad to report that my friends who know about the mayor will not support her bid at re-election.
She is an awful person.
This is a free country.
I welcome any rebuttals regarding her lack of character and her inability to lead.
She has done so little for the city and its people.
She has brought more harm than good here.
Her arrogance will go unchecked unless we replace her.
Let her know you do not like her by sending her a Dear Jane letter

Frank JACKSON 2067 82.1%
Robert TRIOZZI 234 9.3%
James DRAPER 121 4.8%
Jane CAMPBULL 97 3.9%
Triozzi's got almost a tenth, Draper has almost a twentieth
And CampBULL is getting what she deserves - sent home.

Congrats to Jackson- But! The poll seems unfair because it is on a website aiming to lift up Jackson and drown out Campbell. Does anybody know what the real poll results are??? Just curious. Or have 'they' even started polling.?

Hey, it's great...
David Lynch and Robert Triozzi are hurting CampBULL's chances as they are alternatives to a white candidate.
Lynch, Jackson, Nelson and Triozzi are hurting CampBULL's chances are they are men who draw votes away from their masculine Jane's column.
Draper will steal the ugly vote. CampBULL will run away with the Stupid vote.

CampBULL is scared, so she is convincing other candidates to join in the race to draw votes away from her competitors. Lynch and Nelson are the mayor's stooges and pawns. she convinced Lynch to join in to hurt Triozzi and Nelson is in to knaw away at Jackson's Base. I'm sure both Lynch and Nelson are promised cabinet-level positions should Mayor Stupid be re-elected. THAT is sleazy politics.

This post talks about how corrupt Mayor Campbell is. Where is the proof? All I see are groudless accusations. The mess in the Water Department can be traced back to Mike White's regime. How can Mayor Campbell be responsible for Cleveland being the poorest big city? You dont become that way over-night as seems to be the argument here? Mike White left the City finances in ruins when he left office. Please see todays Plain Dealer. Only recently has the State Auditor given Cleveland's financial a passing mark. What lying are you talking about? Dont tell you base that on the Wal-Mart transaction. Mayor Campbell should be appluauded for doing what needed to be done. Isnt a paying job better than no job? I mean if we are the poorest big city then beggers cant be choosers. Isnt better to give Cleveland the chance to spend their money in Cleveland instead of the suburbs? Mayor Campbell had to resort to secrecy to get the deal done becuase of people like Frank Jackson and Joe Cimperman. They cater to Labor. Lets face it, Labor has lost its clout in this City. We arent the manufactruing mecca we once were. We need a new economy, but Labor stands in the way. The staus quo does nothing but harm to this city. If the fact that the low jobs of Wal-Mart would make people "poorer" which for the life of me makes no sense John Ryan. Then why didnt Jackson and Cimperman pass the law they introduced? Why, because it was a political ploy. They thought they won. What a brain trust! What a hypocrite that Cimperman is! He bought campaign items at Sams Club. Last time I checked they are part of Wal-Mart. He goes around champion for mom and pop stores, decrying Mayor Campbell for her support, but yet he doesnt patronize these places. Why, because its cheaper to shop at Wal-Mart or Sam's. Shouldnt Clevelanders have they choice to spend less. I mean arent we the poorest big city in the U.S? If so, then saving a buck or 2 should be what adovocate. One thing you folks dont seem to understand are market principles. If the mom and pop cant compete, so be it. We are a capitalist society. However, you folks would like to be anything but. Stop thinking the past and start thinking about the future. Jackson, triozzi, Draper, and the rest arent the solution. Elected them and watch this city decline.

This is what's wrong with clevelanders today. They always blame someone else.
Mike Whites administration cannot be blamed for Campbells inadequat strategies.
She and Jackson have watched chancess to turn this city around fly right by, but only start doing something when election year comes around
We need a leader who can jump at opportunities to make cleveland a great city again

I agree, we clevelanders are feeling sorry for ourselves too much. We need to ged off our rears and do something to make cleveland great again
Cleveland has so much to offer if you know where to look.
We have the greatest hospital in the nation and an excellent arts community
Triozzi seems to be the only one recognizing these assets. all the other candidates are too pesimistic
